Congratulations on choosing to enhance your hair.

There are several things you must do at home to keep your new hair at its best. I

have put a few links here so you can see my suggestions for the tools and products to use.

1- When you have permanent extensions, you need to brush your hair several times a day with a detangling brush. brushing all the way to the scalp keeps the hair from getting tangled, breaking and even dreading. I use the Olivia Garden detangling brush on both wet and dry hair. I find it is my go to brush for everyone and everything.

*This is a terrific bush for the DSC Hairpiece. The brush is gentle on the hair and foundation of the piece.

It is also great for your own hair as a everyday brush.

2-When you wash your new hair you need to use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner to help keep you hair in good condition after using blow dryers and hot tools. One of my favorites is Redken Extreme Length shampoo and conditioner. Not only does is moisturize with castor oil but it also has biotin in it to help keep you biological hair strong and healthy.

After washing your hair with your extensions you ABSOLUTLY need to make sure the spine of the weft, (the sewn edge close to your scalp) is dry. Leaving the bottom 2/3 to air dry is fine but the spine MUST be dried with a dryer. Leaving moisture can cause damage to the weft and or allow bacteria to grow and create scalp disorders.

When drying your hair you should use a

leave in conditioner

AND

heat protectant.

There are several you can choose from depending on your needs. Both One United and Bonding leave in are leave in conditioners with heat protection all in one product.

Once your hair is dry you may find you would like to add a oittle finishing creme or oil to the ends. be mindful not to work the creme or oil near the anchors/beads holding your extensions in.
